Intro

Virtual reality (VR) is an artificial, computer-generated simulation or recreation of a real life environment or situation. It immerses the user by making them feel like they are experiencing the simulated reality firsthand, primarily by stimulating their vision and hearing.
There is more than VR alone. Various terms are covered in this Module. After reading this module you will have a better understanding about the position of VR in today’s digital / virtual world.
This module is complete English language and mainly contains collected information from the internet.

      The virtuality continuum is a continuous scale ranging between the completely virtual, a virtuality (VR), and the completely real, reality (RR).

      X Reality (XR or Cross Reality) consists of technology-mediated experiences that combine digital and biological realities.

    • C11M01L12 – Virtual Reality

      In this lesson you will get answers to the questions: What is VR?, What hardware is involved? and Where can it be used for?

      Augmented reality (AR) is a live direct or indirect view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are “augmented” by computer-generated perceptual information.

      In this lesson we take a look at some of the most commonly used VR tools / platforms used today.
